The property itself is located at the foot of Montagnac-sur-Auvignon (3km), a lovely hilltop village with a bakery and a small supermarket. The beautiful town of Nérac (8km) has a wide variety of shops and services, a very extensive market on Saturday mornings, public tennis courts and many restaurants; it is worth visiting the Château of Henri IV and hiring a boat along the Baïze River.

The larger town of Agen (18km) offers all facilities, as well as horse riding and quad biking. There are golf courses within 10km, and there is fishing possible close by. Wonderful walks can be taken from the house. The Atlantic coast with its long sandy beaches and quaint fishing ports like Capbreton and Hossegor are only a 2 hour drive away across Les Landes and day trips to the Pyrenees are also possible via Pau.
